If you have kids in a Montreal-area school, tomorrow may well be a snow day for them. Or perhaps your home-school group, Guides/Scout unit or dance class meets in a school building. Before you go, check to see if the building will be open!

Not long after suppertime today the Lester B. Pearson School Board had already announced that all its schools, centres & offices would be closed tomorrow. While there was no such notice on any of the other school board sites I visited, I suspect we’ll be hearing the closure announcements on the news by morning. Here are some school board listings, for those who may need them for the morning:

At the moment even my internet service is unreliable. The browser is timing out repeatedly, as many servers are failing to respond. Writing and editing this post has been quite frustrating!

It’s just about time for the last local news of the evening. I’m off to listen! Whether the rest of the school boards, and the private schools, follow the example of the last snow day remains to be seen…..

Update:

The English Montreal School Board, Commission Scolaire Marguerite Bourgeoys, Commission Scolaire de Montréal & Riverside School Board have all joined with Lester B Pearson School Board in cancelling school for tomorrow. There are a number of private schools cancelling classes as well. Got to the CTV Montreal or CJAD pages or the Gazette for updates.
